CEREMONY SOUND

PRINT THE CEREMONY PLANNING WORKSHEET

Some couples choose to have an outdoor or same-site ceremony/reception. It can be difficult, with large groups, to make sure everyone can hear the officiant, vocalists, and vows. (Even if you yell.)

We are happy to help. The wireless microphones ensure that everyone can hear and experience your ceremony. To add a ceremony sound system to your wedding, just select an option:

OPTION 1

You rent gear and pick it up the week of the wedding.

You are trained with the gear so you can feel comfortable using it. It’s helpful to have the person in charge of it on that day at the pickup. The bride and groom should not run their own music - they are already busy getting married.

The cost is $200.

OPTION 2

We are happy to provide sound for vocalists, musicians, readers, and the officiant.

We play background music before and after the service while guests are visiting.

We plan and run the ceremony sound for you.

The cost is $400.

Things to keep in mind when planning an outdoor ceremony:

Set up camp.

Plan to have at least a little tent at the back or side of your ceremony set-up. This allows guests to huddle under before the service and get out of the rain or hot sun. This is especially helpful for parents and grandparents.

Bugs are not great wedding guests.

To keep bugs at bay during your wedding day, consider having your site sprayed by an exterminator two days beforehand and placing citronella candles throughout the space.

Provide for your guests’ needs.

Even if there are real brick-and-mortar restrooms nearby, you might still want to consider renting extras -these days, you can find luxury portable restrooms with more space and air conditioning or heaters, depending on the season.

The general rule of thumb is to have one bathroom or stall for every 35 guests. This way, guests will spend less time standing in line and more time partying on the dance floor.
